KAA to Award a Scholarship to a Young Angus Producer

The Kansas Angus Association board of directors are excited to announce that the KAA will award 2- $500 scholarships to a young college-age Kansas Angus producers. The scholarship is made possible through Kansas breeders utilizing Zoetis HD50K tests during Zoetis’s annual state association program. (test purchased through Angus Genetics, Inc., June 1-Aug. 31) The scholarship winner will be announced during the KAA annual banquet in January 2017 in Hutchinson. The application deadline is January 2, 2017, applicants will be required to submit an online application and essay. The application is posted on www.kansasangus.org. Eligibility: 1. Applicants must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or technical school for the spring 2017 semester, proof of enrollment required. 2. Applicant’s parents , grandparents or family farm/ranch must be member’s of the Kansas Angus Association. 3. Applicant must be currently involved in producing Angus cattle or actively involved in their family's Angus operation.
