The Cecil McCurry memorial Keep Smiling LEAD Award
· For Angus youth residing in the state of Kansas. Application and essay required. Priority will be given applicants who have not attended LEAD and to those that are in need of financial assistance to attend.
· Eligibility:
1. Applicants must meet age and eligibility requirements set forth by the National Jr Angus Association and LEAD Conference. NJAA members 14-21 years old.
2. Applicant must be currently involved in junior Angus activities, producing Angus cattle or actively involved in their family's Angus operation.
3. Must be used for LEAD 2020 or be forfeited.
4. Winner must complete the NJAA LEAD Conference registration and be accepted.
5. $500 stipend covers $250 registration and $250 for travel and expenses.

- · Complete the application form and submit with an essay ( no longer than 2 pages) describing your Angus involvement , leadership and why you want to attend LEAD . If you are in need of financial assistance to attend and this stipend would make it possible for you to attend please explain this need in your essay. ( Financial need/hardship info will be kept confidential) Sign and date your essay.
